326/365 - Jim - Beware of Bubble Beard

( f/2.8 48mm 1/60 sec ISO 100 Nikon D300 )
I was just settling down for a nice nap when Carol said I had to come back and see Jameson. So I climbed out of my slumber and got my camera. When I got in the bathroom, there he was with a mohawk and beard. Is it a glimpse into the future? Maybe... I rarely do soft photos, so I thought I would give it a try and then added the white vignette to make it even more soft.

288/365 - Jim - Nolan Duck Head

( f/8 55mm 1/60 sec ISO 200 Nikon D300 )
Nolan is old enough now to sit in the tub, so we had to get a duck head shot of him too. He will be 7 months old tomorrow and he still doesn't crawl. I think he might be like Jameson and barely crawl and then go straight to walking. He actually pulled himself up to standing on a toy today. I shot this with my SB-800 flash bouncing off of the ceiling. I also increased the flash power to a +1 EV to make it brighter, but I still had to lighten more using Lightroom. Then I isolated the duck as the only thing saturated with Lightroom as well.

147/365 - Jim - Nolan in the Tub

( f/3.2 56mm 1/60 sec ISO 200 Nikon D300 )
My mother was giving Nolan his bath tonight so I was able to take photos of him. I wish I could say his eyes are that blue, but they aren't. I painted them blue with Lightroom and then increased the exposure of the entire picture to make his eyes really pop. Nolan is 2 months and a week now and smiling occasionally which is fun.
