348/365 - Jim - Penn State Kids

( f/5.6 24mm 1/60 sec ISO 200 Nikon D300 )
Aunt Courtney got these jerseys for Jameson and Nolan. It was hard to get Jameson to do this without hurting his little brother. He fell back on him right after this was taken and Nolan cried. I don't know if the Penn State game was on TV here today, but they beat Syracuse 28 to 7.

221/365 - Heather - Keep your eye on the ball

( f/4.1 92mm 1/500 sec ISO 250 Olympus E-500 )
Heather said she took this photo at a t-ball game in Venango, PA on Tuesday. This is Hunter Spaid hitting what looks like a line drive to shortstop. I'm sure his dad will mold him into a good ball player! Great sports shot Heather.

168/365 - Jim - Golf Is Around the Corner

( f/5 105mm 1/125 sec ISO 200 Nikon D300 )
It's just about time to start golfing. For this photo I put a tee in a cardboard box and put the ball on top. The background is a sky that I painted. The grass is just green rope that I frayed at the end. I took this with my 105mm macro lens at only f/5. This wasn't even close to the right aperture. I should have been at f/11 to f/22 because this lens has an extremely short depth of field even at lower apertures. On the camera it looked ok, but on the computer I found out how blurry it was. Oh well, I learned another lesson.

116/365 - Jim - Ping Pong

( f/13 48mm 1/160 sec ISO 200 Nikon D300 )
Theme is sports. It isn't one of the most popular sports, but I love it. I grew up watching my dad play. Then I started to play a lot in high school and got pretty good. The only problem is that I never have anyone to play with. I'm going to have to wait until my boys are old enough and start the training. I can beat my dad now and hopefully one day they will be able to beat me. This is the same paddle that I took a close-up of back on day 99.
