242/365 - Jim - Striper

( f/5 18mm 1/60 sec ISO 200 Nikon D300 )
If you have followed this blog from the beginning, you know who this is. I went night fishing with Matt on Lake Arthur to catch striper. There are tons of bait fishing swimming around and spinning on the surface of the water. I snagged one with a lure and Matt used it for bait. Within 2 minutes he pulled in this 20" striper. That's when we caught more bait fish to use. We didn't have the same luck though and decided to leave at around 2am.

Night fishing sounds like fun. Are you always allowed to do it, or only certain nights? Do you ever cook any of the fish you catch?

Cool looking fish...not sure it was much of a challenge, photographically speaking-is that a word?

i look like a zombie in this picture... how funny was it when you stepped in the boat and it started pouring down rain. thats our kind of luck... we will definitely do this again now that we have the technique down.
