015/365 - Jim - Piano

( f/8 42mm 1.6 sec ISO 200 Nikon D300 )

Theme is black & white. I just went very simple today and shot my piano. I thought I might be able to just post the color version being that the keys are black & white. That wasn't the case because of the ambient light in the room and my white balance setting being off. So I converted the image to black & white and added a vignette.

Now wait a second.....I looked at the theme calendar and it says numbers. Do you need to update the calendar?
Anyway, I do like the picture of the piano keys,
I wish I could play them better, instead I only know "Silver Bells" by heart :)

What is a vignette?

No, Matt and I changed the theme tonight while we were eating wings. I changed it on the calendar, but it must not have saved. So I changed it again.

Vignette is an effect that makes the outter edges of an image darker or brighter. I really like it and apply it to a lot of my photos.

good shot. I like how it is evenly spaced and centered.

Looks good. No one really plays that piano much, maybe Nana Joyce will have to teach Jameson a Christmas song for a concert!
